Defender Patrick Yeboah believes Asante Kotoko currently boasts of the best squad in the Ghanaian top-flight league.
The former Karela United left-back spent the last year with the Kumasi-based club but opted for contract termination recently in order to enjoy first-team football.
Speaking to Pure FM in an interview, Yeboah noted that he has no issues with Asante Kotoko but hailed the club’s squad ahead of the 2020/21 football season.
Yeboah, however, insists that the Ghana Premier League record title winners will need to do more before they can get closer to winning any of the CAF inter-club competitions.
“The current squad of Asante Kotoko is the best in the country now. Winning Africa is not about the best players you have but there are other things that the team would need from the management. I believe with the support of the management, they can do well”, Patrick Yeboah said.
The player is reported to be on his way to fellow Premier League side Medeama SC.
