The Professional Footballers of Ghana, PFAG has expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the young Ghanaian footballers who died on Saturday in the Ashanti Region through a bus accident.
Eight young Ghanaian footballers have so far died while four others are battling for their lives at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after the driver of the bus carrying the juvenile team lost control and the car plunged into a the Offinso river on Saturday Evening.
Six players instantly died following the accident and two more followed later by Saturday night in the hospital where the severely injured players were undergoing treatment.
Twenty-four (24) other kids are also receiving treatment at the St. Patrick Hospital in Offinso following the accident.

”The PFAG wishes to express our deepest condolences to the family of the 8 juvenile footballers who died in a gory accident in the Offinso District of the Ashanti Region on Saturday 19th September 2020.
”The PFAG also wishes a speedy recovery to the twenty-four (24) other kids who are also receiving treatment at the St. Patrick Hospital in Offinso following the accident.
”The unfortunate news has thrown the entire football fraternity in Ghana into a deep state of mourning. Our thoughts are with the entire playing body, family and friends of these young footballers.”
Meanwhile, the Ghana FA has dispatched a strong delegation to visit the families of the young footballers in Offinso.
