Ghanaian forward and captain for Phoenix Rising Stars FC, Solomon Asante bagged his third league goal of the season in the United States League against Las Vegas Lights FC.
The former TP Mazembe speedster saw 80 minutes of action before he took his bow 10 minutes to the end of the match after a goal and assist in the highly competitive match.
Rufat Dadashov scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up inside two minutes but the away team restored parity twenty minutes later before Joseph Farrell made it 2-1 to Risings six minutes to the break.
Within a space of four minutes, Santiago Moar and Dadashov’s second on the 51st and 55th minutes respectively took the game beyond the reach of the visitors who trailed by 4-1 before the hour mark.
Asante scored the icing on the cherry goal three minutes after the hour mark from 12 yards following a spot kick to make it 5-1 before going off the field on the 80th minute mark as the Red and Blacks Walloped their opponents to go top of the Western Conference League.
The 31-year-old Ghanaian international has scored three goals and provided one assist in four games in the 2021 USL Championship season.
