Some four young footballers from the Africa Vision Soccer Academy who were killed in the Offinso accident have been laid to rest today, Thursday,1st October 2020.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday, September 19 when the players were traveling to Kumasi for a colts league registration exercise which killed eight people.
FIFA, CAF, clubs and the Ghana Football Association have all sent messages of condolence to the families since it occurred.
Members of the Executive Council of the FA also donated their one-month salaries worth GH¢59,000.
The burial service held today was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Isaac Asiamah, Director-General of the National Sports Authority, Ghana FA Vice President Mark Addo, Ghana FA Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong and many others.
The government has announced its intentions to foot all medical bills of the surviving victims.
Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has offered to also support the families that have been affected.
