Ghana Premier League top scorer Nicholas Gyan has admitted that it is more difficult playing against Accra Hearts of Oak than their bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko.
The Ebusua Dwarfs striker who has so far netted seven goals in 10 matches believes it is difficult to torment the Phobians team unlike the Kotoko team that makes the work of prolific strikers easier in the Ghanaian top flight league.
”I will say it is difficult playing against Accra Hearts of Oak than Asante Kotoko because I have played against the two sides and I see the Phobians team to be more difficult when playing with than that of Kotoko” Gyan told Kumasi based Abusua FM.
He added” Last season I played against both Hearts and Kotoko and I think Hearts gave me a very tough time. I even scored the last goal in our 4-1 victory over Kotoko in Cape Coast but couldn’t face them in the return league due to injury and I think the Hearts team I faced last season was a very strong side”
”I have also played against Hearts this season where we drew 1-1 in Cape Coast though we could have beaten them but I think their team isn’t bad. I have watched some of Asante Kotoko matches this season and I think their team isn’t in good sharp and so they should expect a shock from Dwarfs. I like Abeiku Ainooson because he’s a good defender but that wouldn’t stop me from embarrassing him on Sunday”.
Asante Kotoko will host the Cape Coast based side in matchday eight of the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Sunday.
