Brighton &Hove Albion boss Graham Potter is brooding on the fitness level of talented wing-back Tariq Lamptey ahead of the visit to Selhurst Park this weekend.
Lamptey, 20, was substituted in Brighton’s 4-2 defeat to Everton at Merseyside two weeks ago with a hamstring injury and has never featured for them again.
The talented youngster was back at training on Thursday but his manager does not want to rush him into the game with Everton as he needs to pass a final fitness test before.
“Tariq trained on Thursday so we will see how he responds to that. There will be a late fitness test ahead of the game.” Potter told the Press,
The English-born Ghanaian youngster who joined Brighton from Chelsea for 4 Million Euros in January this year has been the “Seagulls” best player so far this season.
He has been linked with a 25 Million Euros move to European champions Bayer Munich who are in need of a right-back to push Joshua Kimmich into midfield.
