Ghanaian forward Prince Amoako Jr scored the decisive goal as FC Nordsjaelland defeated MLS side Philadelphia Union 2-1 in a friendly match in Marbella, Spain.
Amoako Jr, who started for Nordsjaelland, struck in the 39th minute to seal victory after Alexander Lind opened the scoring for the Danish Superliga side in the 15th minute. For Philadelphia Union, Ghanaian striker Ezekiel Alladoh also started but was substituted after the first 45 minutes. The American side pulled one back through South African defender Olwethu Mpilwenhle Makhanya in the final 45 minutes.
The match, structured in three 45-minute periods with three teams from each club, served as preparation for both sides ahead of their upcoming league campaigns. Nordsjaelland will return to Denmark to continue their Superliga season, while Philadelphia Union remain in Spain for further preparations before heading back to the United States in February for the MLS.
