Interim Asante Kotoko boss Prince Owusu has dismissed concerns over speculation about his potential dismissal, insisting that the league title race is still very much alive.
“I’m not worried about any dismissal. The title is not over. Have you checked the results of Hearts of Oak, Medeama and the others,” Owusu stated, highlighting his focus on the team’s performance rather than external distractions.
The interim coach emphasized that decisions regarding his tenure rest solely with the club’s management. His remarks suggest a calm and pragmatic approach, with attention firmly on maintaining Kotoko’s competitive edge in the Ghana Premier League.
By referencing the ongoing results of rival clubs, Owusu underlined that the championship remains open and that his priority is steering Kotoko to success on the field. The statement also reflects his determination to keep players motivated and focused, regardless of off-field speculation.
As the season progresses, Kotoko supporters will be watching closely to see if the team can sustain momentum under Owusu’s guidance while navigating the pressures of the title race.
