Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has described his first choice goalkeeper, Razak Abalora as Wonderful, Great and a Bold shot stopper after beating Gold Stars FC in Bibiani.
According to the Kotoko gaffer, the former West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC graduate has been a pivot and a consistent performer for the team and has always responded well in goal anytime he’s called upon.
Abalora made some intriguing saves in the game which helped the Porcupine Warriors to gain three points on the road again leading to the praises from the coach.
Speaking after the game, the ex- WAFA coach has commended his shot-stopper for his sensational display on the day, describing him as a great and a wonderful goalkeeper. He said;
“As for Razak[Abalora], that’s why he is part of the team.”
“That’s his responsibility. When the last line of defence is beaten, it is his responsibility to keep the team in the game and that’s exactly what he did both in the first half and in the second half.”
“And kudos to him, I like his confidence, I like his bravery and I like his judgement and anticipation. He is great, he is a wonderful goalkeeper.”
The Red and Whites outfit will play Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Baba Yara Stadium in match-week four of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season next weekend and are top of the league table after three matches with 9 points.
