Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku expressed his joy and pride after scoring his debut goal for Fenerbahce on Thursday.

Djiku netted his first goal for the club during their Turkish Super Lig encounter against Istanbul Başakşehir. He delivered a spectacular volley that played a significant role in Fenerbahçe’s 4-0 victory, allowing them to maintain their position at the top of the league.

Taking to the X social media platform after the game, Djiku shared his emotions regarding the memorable goal.

He expressed his pride in contributing to his team’s victory with his inaugural goal while wearing the Fenerbahçe jersey.

“Proud to have guided my teammates to victory with my first goal. We continue our series,” he wrote.

Since making his debut for Fenerbahçe SK, Djiku has become a vital player in the team’s defense, consistently impressing with his performances.

The center-back made the move to Fenerbahce in the summer transfer window after parting ways with the French club Strasbourg, where he had spent several seasons.
