The Ghanaian star has failed to replicate his fine form with the Turkish outfit since joining on a season long loan move from the Swans and has been urged to show his worth against their sworn-rivals in tomorrow’s crunch tie
Andre Ayew should prove his worth by leading Fenerbahce to victory against Galatasaray at the Turk Telekom Stadium, says club’s president Ali Koc.
The 28-year-old is undoubtedly one of the most trusted star men in the set-up of the Turkish Super Lig giants having joined them on a season long-loan deal from parent club Swansea City last term.
However, the Istanbul-based club are currently enduring a turbulent campaign in the ongoing 2018/19 top-flight league season.
That notwithstanding, Ayew and his team-mates are expected to spill blood for the maximum points at stake in tomorrow’s clash and club president Ali Koc has charged the ex-West Ham United man to lead the battle on the pitch.
“You’re one of the stars of this team. And ahead of the Galatasaray match, it is coming as one of the crunch games and a big match for him [Andre Ayew]. Now it is time for him to show himself with more fight, take more responsibilities and this team needs him in this crucial match,” Ali Koc is saying as quoted by Sporx.
Fenerbahce currently occupies the 15th position of the league standings with 9 points after ten round of game matches played so far in the ongoing league campaign.
The former Olympique Marseille midfield kingpin has notched two goals for the Yellow Canaries this term in his six appearances so far.
