“We are pleased to announce that Khalifa International Stadium will host the final of the 2017 Emir Cup between Al Rayyan and Al Sadd on Friday evening,” said Qatar FA President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani.

The new stadium takes care of the peculiar high temperature of the region which is feared may have untold effects on the players.

It is equipped with sustainable cooling technology installed to keep the players and fans comfortable year round.
