The German-Ghanaian striker produced a standout display for 1. FC Köln in their entertaining Bundesliga encounter against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Saturday afternoon.
The 27-year-old, who joined Köln last summer, was named in the starting lineup and made a strong impact during his 85 minutes on the pitch as the Billy Goats played out a 2-2 draw at the RheinEnergieSTADION.
Ache opened the scoring in the 15th minute, calmly finishing after being teed up by Said El Mala to give the hosts an early advantage. Hoffenheim responded before halftime, however, with Turkish defender Ozan Kabak leveling the score to send both sides into the break at 1-1.
After the restart, Hoffenheim briefly seized control when Croatian forward Andrej Kramarić found the net to put the visitors ahead. But Köln showed resilience, and in the 63rd minute, El Mala struck again—this time as scorer—to restore parity and secure a share of the spoils.
Ache’s energetic and clinical performance further highlighted his growing importance to Köln’s attack this season. He has now registered four goals and four assists in 21 Bundesliga appearances, continuing to establish himself as a key figure in the club’s frontline.
