West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC midfielder, Augustine Boakye has signed a four-year deal with Austrian team Wolfsberger AC according to local reports.
The 20-year-old according to local media sources has complated his move to the Europa League side following a dazzling form in the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season.
Reports say the player missed his side’s defeat in the MTN FA Cup Round 32 game as he was preparing for his new deal with the Austrian Típico Bundesliga team.
This campaign, Boakye has played 25 matches for the Academy Boys and has scored seven goals and set up 11 goals for his colleagues in the league as he tops the assist list this campaign.
Boakye also has won the Most Valuable Player award six times and was invited by coach CK Akonnor for Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers games against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
Report say the youngster will join the Austrian Típico Bundesliga team next month to begin pre-season training with the club ahead of the start of the season in August.
