The Retired National Women Footballers Association of Ghana has made a donation to the Black Queens who are preparing for next month’s 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations to be held in Ghana.
Assistant coach of Black Queens Mercy Tagoe who doubles as the President of the association led the group to the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence to make the presentation.
The items which includes Kleesoft washing powder, Lux soap , Lifebuoy soap and Awake drinking water were received by Queens captain Leticia Zikpi on behalf of her colleagues.
She however thanked the former footballers group for the wonderful gesture saying the Black Queens were grateful for the charity shown by their mentors.
Also similar items to were presented to the Black Maidens who are also preparing for the U20 FIFA Women World Cup.
Present at the short ceremony were President of the association Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo and her vice Helena Wilson.
Also in attendance were Anita Wiredu-Minta the secretary, Genevieve Clottey the coordinator, former African best player Adjoa Bayor the deputy Coordinator and Diana Mills the treasurer of the group .
Others were Elizabeth Kennedy , Gifty Lartey, Grace Lamptey, Sarah Pappoe, Gloria Obeng Djan.
