Aduana Stars skipper Yahaya Mohammed wants coach JE Sarpong to retract and apologize for alleging that more than half of Ghana league players smoke marijuana.
The former Liberty coach alleged that majority of professional players in the country are weed smokers as the debate whether to legalize weed or not in Ghana heightens.
“About 60% of Premier and Division One players smoke wee.” the former Liberty Professionals and Aduana Stars coach said on Angel FM.
But Yahaya Mohammed wants the coach to apologize for his comments because he has no evidence to back his allegation.
“Coach JE Sarpong must apologize to Ghanaian players. His comments that about 60% of Ghanaian players snoke weed are very bad.” the former Kotoko striker said to Oyerepa FM.
“I don’t smoke but look at the people he has coached like Asamoah Gyan and others. Does he know 60% of 100 players.” Yayaha quizzed.
“It is a false statement and he should retract” he added.
