The sum of 930 Gh¢ ($197) is spent per day for the upkeep of the Spanish coach who is still in Accra waiting for his pay after working with the Black .
Gerard Nus, from Spain, worked with then Black Stars head coach Avram Grant during the three-week competition in Gabon, which ended on February 5, after which he returned to Ghana to claim his pay from the country’s football association before an eventual departure to Europe.
Unfortunately, he is still waiting to be paid and his hotel bills are mounting, on the shoulders of the Ghanaian authorities.
According to Goal.com investigations, that daily fees for his accommodation and feeding sum up to Gh¢ 930 ($197), which has now reached Gh¢ 22,320 ($4,736) since he checked in early last month.
Grapevine sources indicates the Spaniard had been told by the Ghana FA to return to his base in Spain that allowed funds would be wired to him soon. However, bitter past experiences have forced him to spurn such instructions and stay put until his cashes his money.
Nus and a couple other expatriates who earlier worked with the Black Stars are yet to be paid for services rendered during the 2017 Afcon qualifier against Mauritius in June 2015.
For his engagement in Ghana’s 1-0 away win over Rwanda in the 2017 Afcon qualifier back in September 2015, no pay yet from the football body ,Goal.com checks have revealed.
Now, how much would be his hotel bills by the time the authorities decide to clear his debts?.
