Wydad Athletic Club players saw their qualifying bonus for the group stage of the Champions League revised upwards by Said Naciri, the club president just twenty four hours before the Hearts of Oak clash on Sunday.
The WAC president spoke to his players at the end of the final pre-match training session on Saturday. He also revised the qualification bonus upwards from 20,000 Dirhams (about 5, 500 USD) to 30,000 DH (8,200 USD) according to Le360sport.
WAC responded with a 6-1 pummeling of the Ghanaian champions to make the Group Stage with a 6-2 aggregate success.
