The portal deep throat sources close to the former FIFA council and CAF Vice president said Mr. Nyantakyi was so distraught about the issue that he virtually felt there was no need to live again.
According the source, he took several steps including soliciting the help of some ‘big’ men to ensure the video was not premiered to no avail. The sources said Mr. Nyantakyi’s close friends, family and aides had to be beside him all the time to ensure he did not carry out the threat to commit suicide. The sources said he once commented ‘’I am finished, what have I got to live for? But for my children I would have ended it all’’
The source described how Mr. Nyantakyi knelt down while weeping uncontrollably and begging some ‘big men’ to save him by helping stop the premiering of the number 12 investigative piece.
‘’My brother it was not easy for the man (Nyantakyi). It is still not easy. We organised one hundred thousand dollars and sent it to a big man who is close to Anas to kill this matter but it didn’t work out. The man is actually in pain. This is man that one day could become the president of FIFA. Now all those dreams have sublimed’’ the source said.
