West Africa Football Academy star attraction Daniel Lomotey bid farewell to his teammates immediately after his team’s 1-1 draw against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
The talented goal-scorer – who is Tunisia-bound – has 8 goals this season and is a joint-leading goalscorer of the Ghana Premier League alongside Diawisie Talyor of Karela United.
The 21-year old scored his 8th goal of the season in 9 games against Asante Kotoko and the brilliant goal would be ranked among some of the most aesthetic goals in this campaign. He received a ball in the area and as he was surrounded by two Kotoko players he dinked the ball over goalkeeper Razak Abalora who had moved off his line.
Lomotey has arrived in the North African country to sign for his expected new team AS Soliman.
“Immediately after the Kotoko game he came to tell us that he is leaving. He is somebody we all admire so much in the dressing room and obviously you can see that he is our main source of goals.” one player of WAFA told SPORTSWorldGhana.com
“He wished us well in the league and we also wish him well” the player added.
