Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori has already said goodbye to his Maritzburg United teammates as he prepares to move to Orlando Pirates.
The agile shot-stopper was not in the match day squad as Maritzburg United were knocked out of the quarterfinals of the MTN8 competition by Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium as second goalkeeper Bongani Mpandle was used.
SPORTSworldGhana.com understands that Ofori has already communicated his imminent departure to his colleagues on Saturday and they have wished him well.
Ofori is expected to sign his Orlando Pirates contract by midweek as he seeks a fresh challenge after excelling with Maritzburg.
He joined the “Team of Choice” from the Ghanaian outfit Wa All-Stars in 2017 and went on to make 85 League appearances, conceding 80 goals and keeping 29 clean sheets.
