Former Accra Hearts of Oak forward Richard Zumah, has expressed his desire to play for Asante Kotoko after he claimed he has, been rejected by the capital-based club.
According to him, the fact that Maxwell Konadu is the head coach of Asante Kotoko alone, excites him and would love to play under the former Black Stars deputy coach.
“As we speak now the team I want to play for Asante [Kotoko], my focus is on them”- Zuma told Atinka FM.
When asked about the chance the phobians offered him some years back replied “I’ve always said, I can’t betray Hearts of Oak but I’ve realized that they don’t want to sign me, I offered myself to them in 2018 they didn’t mind me.
”I did same in 2019 when I returned from Iraq, I had series of meeting with Frederick Moore (managing director) and all that and even told them I need no money but they rejected me,” he added.
So now I want to play for Kotoko, I know I will add something to the team.”
Zuma became a talk of town after coming from the bench to score two goals to turn the match around for hearts in 2018.
