Five of FC Nordsjælland’s top seven most expensive player departures have roots in the Right to Dream Academy. This academy has proven to be a remarkable talent factory, particularly for young footballers from Africa.
Ernest Nuamah, a promising talent from Ghana, was sold to Lyon for €25 million, marking the highest transfer fee in FC Nordsjælland’s history. Following him, Ibrahim Osman, another Ghanaian talent, made a move to Brighton for €19.5 million.
Kamaldeen Sulemana, also from Ghana, was transferred to Rennes for €17 million. Mohammed Kudus, yet another Ghanaian star, joined Ajax for €9 million. Simon Adingra, hailing from the Ivory Coast, was transferred to Brighton for €8 million.
These transfers highlight the significant impact of the Right to Dream Academy in developing and promoting young African footballers on the global stage.
FC Nordsjælland’s collaboration with the academy has not only bolstered their team but also provided a platform for these talented players to shine in some of Europe’s top leagues.
