Ivorian and Beijing Enterprises midfielder Cheick Tiote has died after being rushed to hospital on Monday
The 30 year old had swapped Newcastle with the second division Chinese club this past January.
He had 55 appearances with Ivory Coast and was also part of the Ivory Coast squad that won the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
This is how clubs and former team-mates paid tribute after star’s tragic death:
“Mr Tiote has made outstanding contributions to the club since joining, and has won over the club, coaching staff and teammates with his superb skills and professionalism,” said Beijing Enterprises in a statement
