Ghana football legend Daniel Owusu – the first player to win the Ghana Premier League golden boot three times in a row – broke down in tears on Happy FM as he expressed his unhappiness about the decision of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) to arrange an exhibition match on Sunday November 8th – the same weekend when legendary Kwasi Owusu will be laid to rest.
The Bofoakwa Tano legend and former Ghana captain – for close to a decade – kicked the bucket on March 30th this year and will be buried in his hometown of Nkoranza Nkwabeng before the funeral ceremony takes place on Saturday November 7th in Sunyani.
“If Kwasi Owusu is dead today and they ( PFAG) are rather going to Elmina to play a football match they should proceed. We will rather go to Sunyani to say our last good bye to Kwasi Owusu” a sorrowful Dan Owusu said on Happy FM on Wednesday.
