Asante Kotoko new signing Saddick Adams says he will not be pressured by the expectations to score goals in every game he plays for the Porcupine warriors.
The 27-year-old was signed by struggling Ghana Premier League giants in the second transfer window.
Adams has meanwhile been brought in to help solve Kotoko’s profligacy.
And while there are early signs of improvement under new coach Steve Pollack especially in defence, the focus will once again be on the team’s conversion rate.
The former Berekum Chelsea tormentor insists he will not succumb to pressure by fans of the club to strike more goals for the club when featured in each game.
“In football we all expect a striker to score and if the striker doesn’t score is a problem,” he said.
“But like the coach said, whoever scores for the team to win, the most important thing is the three points.
“I am here to help. If it happens that I score goals for us to win matches then fine. I don’t want a situation where I score goals but the team doesn’t win matches.”
