Stade Rennais will not be welcoming Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu this summer despite everything seemed to be have settled between Real Valladolid – Salisu’s current club – and the French side.
RMC revealed last week both clubs have agreed a transfer to 12 million euros for the 21-year old.
However according to the Spanish press financial disagreements have emerged and a preference of the player to join Southampton in the English Premier League rather than the Ligue 1 and today the newspaper Ouest-France is categorical and announces that the highly-rated youngster will not join Rennes.
It remains to be seen the final destination of the Ghanaian center back after the end of the current season. Valladolid are 14th on the league standings on 33 points after 29 matches.
