German-born Ghanaian teenager Joselpho Barnes is pleased after earning his first cap with the Ghana national under 20 team.
The Schalke 04 winger was the man of the match as he netted a brace and provided an assist in the Satellites friendly outing on Sunday.
Barnes who is the son of former Ghana Under 17 skipper Sebastian Barnes was pleased to make his debut for the land of his parents as he looks forward to the bigger tournament in Mauritania.
“I am very proud to be able to wear the jersey of the U20 National team of my home country Ghana. It makes me even all happier to be able to help the team with 2 goals and an assist in my first game. All preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations 2021 in Mauritania are now starting with full focus.” Barnes stated.
Barnes 19, aside his right-wing position can also operate as a lateral defender.
