The 26th Ordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association took place on Tuesday morning at the GFA technical center in Prampram in the Greater Accra region with strict adherence to the Covid-19 safety protocols.
Every one of the 91 GFA members present at the Congress and invited guests like the honorable Minister of Youth and Sports Isaac Kwame Asiamah was seen wearing a nose mask at the meeting. Social distancing was also ensured at the Congress venue.
Division one club Techiman City had unsuccessfully applied for a court injunction to prevent the association from holding the Congress.
The most powerful organ of the governing body of football in the country approved the October 26,2019 – June 30,2020 GFA Budget as well as the budget for the next financial period 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021.
