Ghanaian defender Abdul Rahman Baba was in his elements in midweek as his side PAOK went away to defeat AEK Athens in the Greek Cup first leg game.
The Black Stars defender was arguably the best player at the Main Olympic Stadium in Athens as Thomas Murg’s 94th-minute strike decided the game.
Baba was lively to watch throughout the game as he put the brakes on the AEK wingers and occasionally popped up with surging runs down the left flank to join the attack.
The on-loan Chelsea player who is gradually discovering his form after battling with career-threatening injuries for sometime has been superb so far since his winter move and has earned applauds from PAOK manager Pablo Garcia.
Baba is expected to play another key role on Sunday when his side travel away to face Asteras Tripolis in the Super League.
