The 2020/21 Serbia Superliga season started on 1 August 2020 and after four rounds of matches Ghana international striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom is yet to make an appearance for his club Red Star Belgrade.
Red Star lead the standings with 12 points boasting of a 100 percent record winning all four matches. The team has scored 12 goals and has a goal difference of plus 10 but Yiadom is not a big part of this early success for the men of Dejan Stankovic.
In the first two games of the league season against Novi Pazar and Radnicki Nis , Yiadom was not part of the Red Star match-day squad and it was not stated that he was injured.
The Serbian giants opened their European account on Tuesday night with an emphatic 5-0 win against Gibraltar side Europa FC in the qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League and Yiadom was once again an unused substitute.
Manager Stankovic has preferred Comoros international forward El Fardou Ben who bagged a hat trick against Europa FC yesterday and it appears the former Inter Milan player will continue with the system and formation that has worked well so far for his team this season.
The 31-year old Comorian has also scored twice in the league meaning he has 5 goals in 5 games which doesn’t appear good on the other side for Yiadom.
