Agyeman Badu was hospitalised in August last year with blood clots on his lungs but was the doctors cleared midfielder to return to the game in December and this afternoon his team welcomes the free-scoring Atalanta side of Mr. Gian Piero Gasperini on Day 34.
Badu – 78 games for Ghana, 11 goals – joined Serie A side Hellas Verona in July 2019 on loan from Udinese with an obligation to buy but an illness would restrict the working midfielder to just 9 matches in all competitions this season for Hellas Verona.
Atalanta – 3rd on the league log – have scored an outrageous 93 goals in the league this term and things could be ugly for the team of Agyeman Badu who are at a respectable 9th position on the table after 33 games.
The game kicks off 3.15 GMT but is unlikely the former Berekum Arsenal man will start the match.
