Ashantigold playmaker Seth Osei made a come-and-get-me declaration to the fans of Asante Kotoko urging them to pay the $80,000 demanded by the Miners in order for him to join them but his representative Yussif Chibsah has publicly rebuked him over that comment.
“I love Asante Kotoko. I’m ready to join the club because it is the club I love. I have discussed with Champion [Dr. Kwaku Frimpong] of my desire to join Kotoko. My target now is to join Kotoko. I am a fan of Kotoko even though I’m an AshantiGold player. I am ready to play for Kotoko. I want to wear their jersey to honour my late father. I will plead to the Kotoko supporters to make contributions to pay the $80,000 that Dr Kwaku Frimpong is demanding.” Osei told Pure FM.
But reacting to the comments of his client, Yussif Chibsah said :
” Yes I think Osei went overboard with his comments. Because we have to be honest here. I am a Kotoko person and everyone knows it. But the comments of my client was not appropriate. But we have discussed the issue behind close doors.” Chibsah said to Ashh FM.
“But you cannot fault him much because it is his desire to play for Kotoko and that is why probably he made that comment for the supporters to come and get him. He has since apologized to the Ashgold management though.” the Club Consult Africa agent added.
