Management committee Chairman of the Black Maidens Augustine Asante says the team is facing financial difficulties far-away Jordan with girls unable to get money to purchase Sanitary Pad.
The Ghana national U-17 female team are currently participating in the on-going world cup .
The team suffered a humiliating 0-5 lost to opponent Japan in its first G roup game .
In an interview with Spice FM, Mr. Asante said, “As I speak to you now not a cedi in terms of per diem have been paid to the girls. Things are very difficult for the team financially .There is no money for the girls to buy soaps and Sanitary pads .No one have been able to make a call home.”
The RFA chairman for Brong Ahafo feels in spite of all this problems the team can come good in their second Group game against USA on Tuesday.
“We didn’t have the best of preparation for the team to this tournament, but Football doesn’t follow logic so we are hoping Ghana can win against USA, “he added.
