Former Hearts of Oak and Black Stars goalie, Sammy Adjei was reportedly turned away from the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium during the dreaded Ga Mashie derby by the police.
In an interview with George Addo Jnr, the former kit manager of the national team, Mr Robert Godi did not mince words as he described the incident at the gate as very pathetic and not deserving to people who have served the country greatly “Can you believe this Chelsea guy Odoi came in and they allowed Odoi to go in instead of Sammy Adjei former Black Stars goal keeper standing outside where they did not even talk to him just driving them away someone who has served the national team”.
The game at the nations Wembley attracted a lot of fans to the stadium which broke the Covid-19 safety protocols at the stadium of 25% spectator’s entry in the stadium amidst social distancing rules. The Chaos that ensued at the stadium caused the police to turn away lots of spectators who had tickets to show up at the match.
According to the former Kit Manager, Former players like Gilbert Fiamenyo and Ablade Kuma were all turned away without even talking to them for any sort of explanation.
