Former Black Stars winger, Solomon Asante has been named the United Soccer League Player of the Week.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian diminutive winger bagged a goal and provided three assists in his team’s 5-0 thumping of LA Galaxy II on Sunday in the second-tier league in America.
Asante, has been the star performer for Phoenix Rising Stars FC this season as he’s always been in the USL Championship for the Red and Blacks with 8 goals and six assists to his name in 13 games this campaign.
The former TP Mazembe man has won the Most Valuable Player in the League twice for consecutive seasons and is on course to make it three in a row after starting the season on a blistering pace for the Rising Stars.
