Crystal Palace were beaten 3-1 at Southampton on Tuesday night in the English Premier League and Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew was handed a starting role at the Saint Mary’s stadium.
Palace manager Roy Hodgson started with a three-pronged attack of Wilfried Zaha, Christian Benteke and Black Stars striker Ayew.
With Palace losing 2-1 after 70 minutes , Roy hooked off the Ghanaian striker and replaced him with former Marseille attacker Michy Batshuayi but Palace would go on to lose the game 3-1.
