SportsworldGhana.com’s Edmund Okai Gyimah has been ranked 7th in the best 10 Sports Writers in Africa for Best column in the AIPS international awards.
The event which was held in Korea by the Swiss based accredited body of sports journalists around the globe saw the astute journalist being in the top 10 for his article “Treacherous: African footballers in risky trips abroad to seek for greener pastures” which was posted on new.sportsworldghana.com on 19th August, 2022.
This is the third time Edmund Okai Gyimah, has made the top in a row.
In 2020, he was placed 10th whereas in 2021 he occupied the 7th position with his article “Precarious Arabian Journey: African footballers being scammed into a paradise which never was”.
The last two year’s, despite the numerous entries by sports journalist in Ghana, he has been the only one who has made the top 10 for Best column.
