Management Committee chairman of the Black Starlets has praised his players for being tactically disciplined throughout the the qualifiers.
The national under17 managed a pulsating goalless draw against Ivory Coast to qualify for the African under17 championship on a 3-1 aggregate having won the first leg in Cape Coast a fortnight ago.
A jubilant Kweku Ayiah told reporters after the game that “For you to qualify to the tournament, you have to be tactically discipline. My players were tactically sound throughout the qualifiers and that’s what did the trick for us. This particular game for instance, our mission was to frustrate them and hit them on the counter and that worked perfectly though we didn’t get a goal.
Ghana will be making a return to the competition, having missed out on the previous one due to disqualification
