Ghana U17 male team [Black Starlets] beat Gabonese lower division side FC 109 3-0 in a friendly on Wednesday in Port-Gentil.
The game was coach Paa Kwesi Fabian’s side last friendly game ahead of the tournament which begins this weekend.
Emmanuel Toku and Kwadwo Poku shot Ghana in front in the 33rd and 41st minute respectively in the first half.
Back from recess, the Gabonese club came into the game strongly in their bid to pull parity but did nothing important to meet target as Rashid Alhassan’s 89th minute striker gave the unbeaten Ghana side a sweet 3-0 victory.
Ghana will begin their tournament campaign with a fixture against Cameroon on Sunday 14 May at Stade de Franceville.
