The Public Relations Officer of Asante Kotoko, Obed Acheampong, says ”all things being equal” the Porcupine warriors will sign a fresh deal with English trainer Steve Pollack ahead of the 2017/2018 season.
The former Berekum Chelsea gaffer replaced Croatian trainer Zdravko Logarusic in May and has been able to win the president cup and will play the final of the MTN FA Cup with their bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak at the Tamale Sports Stadium on October 29.
The future of the humble coach remains unknown despite expressing desire to stay at the club once handed the green light at the end of the season.
But Speaking on Kumasi based Abusua FM, Obed Acheampong disclosed” All things being equal Coach Steve Pollack is likely to stay at Kotoko”.
He continued ”Our focus currently is on the FA Cup finals which comes off this weekend in Tamale afterwards management will have a meeting with Pollack to make his future with the club known to him and I can say there is a likelihood of Kotoko renewing his contract”.
Pollack was given a short-term contract until the end of the 2016/2017 Ghana premier league season.
A win over Hearts on Sunday will see them qualify automatically for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup competition.
