The 26-year-old with a powerful header first registered his name on the score sheet in the 29th minute.
Norwegian defender Vegard Skjerve leveled things up for the visitors in the 88th minute of the game.
Appiah lasted entire throttle with an outstanding performance.
He thus joins English League One side AFC Wimbledon on a permanent deal from Reading FC after exhausting his loan spells with the Norwegian side.
Appiah was a member of the Black Stars team which won silver medal at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
