Ghanaian forward Ishmael Baidoo has joined Greece side Veria FC on a permanent deal, SportsworldGhana.com can confirm.
The Ghanaian joined Zabrze at the beginning of February 2019 under a definitive transfer from Septemvri Sofia. He made his debut in Górnik on February 15, 2019 in an away match against Pogoń Szczecin.
The 22-year-old attacker completed his transfer move from Polish Ekstraklasa giant Gornik Zabrze after two and half years in the city of Zabrze.
A year later, he was loaned to FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the games of the second Slovak league were suspended and then ended.
The youngster after returning to Zabrze, Baidoo was preparing for the new season with Górnik’s second team.
He played in four reserve matches, in which he scored three goals. Then, in September 2020, he found another loan, this time to Pogoń Siedlce. He played 34 matches for the second-tier team, scoring 8 goals and 6 assists.
After the end of the loan, the 22-year-old winger was training again with the first team, he also participated in training camps in Wodzisław Śląski and Opalenica. In the current season, he played 3 matches in the PKO Ekstraklasa games, appearing on the pitch at the end of the matches with Lech Poznań, Stal Mielec and Jagiellonia Białystok.
In total, he played in Górnik in 14 matches of Ekstraklasa and 2 in the Polish Cup games.
