Budding Ghanaian enforcer Abdul M. Karimu was the star of the day once again as Shabab Al Ahli humiliated Gulf FC in the United Arab Emirates Under 21 League on Friday.
Shabab Al Ahli led by six goals to nothing in the first half of the one-sided away game and the host refused to come in for the second half considering the battering they had received. The referee had to call off the game as the visitors were declared winners.
Karimu was by far the best player on the pitch in the first half as he provided adequate cover and did all the work in front of the back four which helped the attackers to just concentrate on getting the goals.
He served as the main player in which the team revolved around and his intelligent passes, runs and ability to dictate the pace of the game was a delight to watch.
Shabab Al Ahli are on top of the league with seven points from three games and they will face Al Rams FC in their next game on November 4.
