Ghana international Tariqe Fosu climbed off the bench to help Brentford seal passage to the English Premier League promotion play-offs final after a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Bees walk to Wembley after a 3-2 aggregate victory over Bournemouth in the semifinals of the play-offs.
Fosu, 25, was introduced into the game in the 79th minute. His introduction triggered the home side’s crucial third goal to book their ticket to the final.
Brentford were 2-1 up after 80 minutes and would have been out of the promotion fight had the game ended that way, however, two minutes after the Ghanaian’s arrival Marcus Forss scored the winner.
Bournemouth took an early lead through Dutch forward Arnaut Danjuma before Ivan Toney leveled from the spot in the 16th minute.
Vitaly Jarnet scored in the second to give Brentford the lead before Forrs ended the day with the important winner nine minute from time.
Tariqe Fosu-who has bagged four goals in 41 matches for Brentford this season.
Brentford will play the winner of the game between Swansea versus Barnsley match in the final game at the Wembley Stadium.
