Maxwell Abbey Quaye registered a brilliant hat trick for Great Olympics against Accra Lions during Week 2 of the Ghana Premier League , becoming the first player to achieve the feat this season.
Quaye scored his first goal with a long range strike that crushed the goal post before going into the net in the 21st minute at the Accra sports stadium.
His second was a intelligent lob over goalkeeper Appiah Kubi in the second half following a blunder by the latter before Quaye realized the treble from the spot as Olympcis won 3-1.
“During the week I had to do 30 or 40 minutes alone with the ball doing finishing with it, before the group training starts.” he said on Fox FM.
“It is a new ball (Tempo) for the season and so I have to know the characteristics of the ball, to know How it flies and so on and I think that helped me during the game” Abbey Quaye revealed.
