Asante Kotoko SC defender, Ismail Ganiyu is very optimistic the aim of the club this season is to annex the premier league tittle at the end of the season.
After week 25 of the premier league, the Porcupine Warriors are top of the league with 45 points and are in strong contention to win the League. In an exclusive interview with Sportsworldghana.com, the Kotoko defender was very adamant the Kumasi based club are doing everything possible to win the title.
“What we are looking at is taking the trophy and is not going to be easy we just trying to work one or two things together and then motivate ourselves and get the maximum points that will push us to get the trophy at the end, the aim and the mentality is to be champions and the end of the season”.
The Black Stars defender also shared some light of how they intend to take every match at a go and injuries in the team “we want to work hard and be the best at the end of the season and Ishah Allah we shall see through it but match after match we are just going to improve few things, though there are few injuries worries and stuff we will do our best to the highest level Ishah Allah”.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko play home to WAFA at the Len Clay sports Stadium in their bid to maintain their status at the summit of the league. The first leg between the two sides at Sogakope ended in a 1-1 stalemate with Kwame Poku and Daniel Lomotey on target for both clubs.
