Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC deputy captain, Emmanuel Gyamfi has refused to give up on the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League title despite admitting Hearts of Oak SC were the better side in Sunday’s Super clash at Accra Sports Stadium.
Though Gyamfi believes the better side won on the day, he also has high hopes of mounting a serious challenge in their last three games to Also push for the trophy.
The Asante Kotoko deputy captain accepted that it was a really difficult game game against their old foes Accra Hearts of Oak SC in Accra.
“It was a very difficult game but I think the better side won. We came into the game to win all three points but we lost but everything is possible.
“The league is like a marathon and not yet over and three matches ahead of us.
He further added that everything is possible and Kotoko are still in contention for their 24th League title with three matches to end the season.
” Everything is possible in those matches because a loss for Hearts could see us catch up on them, so for me, the title race is still on,” he said.
Kotoko plays against King Faisal in their next game at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium next week and will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways to put pressure on the Phobians for the title.
