German Bundesliga 2 side SV Holstein Kiel managing director, Uwe Stöver says the competition at the club was too tough for Ghanaian forward David Atanga.
According to him, the Ghanaian failed to impose himself on the team and could not fight for his place in the team due to the high level of competitiveness by the players in the team.
The competition was too strong
“David Atanga was unable to assert himself because of the strong competition on the wing”, Uwe Stöver, Managing Director Sport of KSV, is quoted on the club’s website.
The managing director of Holstein also thanked the Ghanaian for his services to the club since he joined in 2018 from Red Bull Salzburg of the Austrian Típico Bundesliga.
“We would like to thank David for his commitment over the past two years and wish him all the best and every success in his new role.”, he added.
The Ghanaian left the club today, and has signed a three-year contract with Belgium Pro League side KV Oostende.
