Aduana Stars did not start the season strongly after failing to win a single game in their first four matches but the team of Samuel Kwesi Fabien is now doing well in the league.
The former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko trainer has picked ten points from the four of the Top six clubs on the league table after Week 10.
Fabien has defeated Hearts of Oak of Kosta Papic by 2-0, a draw against Bechem United who are 4th on the table, a 2-1 victory over 7th placed Great Olympics and then on Sunday his team beat Asante Kotoko 1-0 in Accra. This is an impressive record for Fabien who is still looking for his first league title as a coach.
When his team was struggling to win matches and faced with a big game against the Phobians , Fabien brought tactical changes to his team by repositioning some of his players notably midfielder Flavien Kouassi was pushed to the number ten role to play just behind Yahaya Mohammed and this worked as Aduana won 2-0 with Flavien as one of the best performers in the game. Since that game Aduana has improved masively.
The coach also started to introduce the likes of Charles Gyamfi Camara, Fatau Abdurahman and Pius Asante into his starting team and the results are clear – the Ogya side are no more a struggling side as they occupy the second place on the league standings and much credit goes to the head coach for fining the solutions to the earlier problems of the Dormaa-based side.
